What's the difference between blackface and blackfishing? 

Blackface is done by white people who believe they are superior to black people, so they dress up in tattered clothes, darken their skin and perform with the aim of mocking black people. 

Blackface isn't just about painting one's skin darker or putting on a costume. It invokes a racist and painful history. —CNN

Blackfishing is done by white people who believe "only-beauty-wise" they are inferior to another race, so they darken their skin, to look like that race. 

(I personally do not believe this explanation) 

What are the similarities between blackface and blackfishing? 

They're both disrespectful

Also, at the end of the day/whenever blackfacers and blackfishers decided; they could easily just wash off the tar rubbed on their skin or the five-shades darker foundation applied on their face. 

They could both stop "being" black. 

Black people can't stop being black. 

White people can always get those "black features"

Black people would never get "white privileges"
