Teenage Instagram Influencers In Nigeria
Hello and welcome to my first official article of the year, which is kind of funny because the year is about to end😅
Heh Heh😶😐
Anyways, I decided to start off this year with a topic I'm well in tune with—Instagram and since I'm a teenage girl who just turned 18 in June😗, what better topic than Teenage Instagram Influencers In Nigeria?
Exactly.
You might already know of Diana Eneje, AKA "Dumebi" and Priscilla Ajoke Ojo, AKA "Iyabo Ojo's daughter," but who else do you know?
That's just the info I'm here to give you, so
Here is the list of some teenage influencers in Nigeria:
(Ps, some of the people mentioned here might not be teenagers anymore)
At the number one spot, of course, we have:
Diana Eneje
Beautiful, Fashionable, Hardworking, and Humane, Diana is who every Nigerian brand needs. With over 600 thousand followers on IG, she definitely has a massive pull in influencing the Nigerian market. I personally adore her; I love how business-minded she is and how she's ALWAYS securing her bag!
At the number two spot, obviously (again), we have:
Priscilla Ajoke Ojo
Verified, Genteel, Diligent, and Cute, Priscilla takes the crown as one of the most influential people in Nigeria. With over a million followers on Instagram, she has us teenagers heaving sighs of relief, glad she's moved on to swim with the big fishes because she turned 20 this year and finally dropped the 'teen' from her age ~sigh!
The third person on this list is:
Queendarerah
Queen Precious Chidera, who is a model and also an Instagram influencer, has almost 300 thousand followers on her IG. She's gorgeous, tall, and strong, and she definitely earned her spot on this list.
At number four, our first male joins us, and his name is:
Eronini
Quick Steph
Nimiie
Personal yet niche focused. So, always make sure to post content in your element if you're trying to become an influencer.
• Be Systematic And Consistent
You would need a schedule to follow, one that guides you on when to post and how (reels, videos, pictures) to post.
And then you need to actually follow this schedule and one of the easiest ways to follow your 'systematic' schedule is by making it realistic, work your schedule around your life, don't work your life around your schedule. If you're a full-time student, there's no way you can post every day, so don't even bother making a daily schedule.
The keyword here is, Be Realistic.
• Interact With Your Audience
While you build up a reasonable amount of followers, no matter how little your current followers are, appreciate them. Reply as many comments as you can, go into inboxes and introduce yourself, comment on some of your followers' posts. Basically, just talk to these people, know these people, learn from these people.
• Go Into The World
Let brands know you’re open to collaborations. How would they know if you don't tell them? You don't need a massive amount of followers unless you're aiming for the big fishes 😐. And why would you be aiming for the big fishes when you just started? 😐
Slide into the DMs of small brands—professionally and politely. Tell them you'd like to partner/work with them, name your price (doesn't necessarily have to be money; it could be what they sell), bargain, and then draft up some legal papers. Yes, legal papers. Don't just collect items because you want to put "Influencer" on your bio. 😐😶😏 I'm talking to you, Susan. You need to have a document clearly stating what you're to do, why you're to do it, and what you gain to do it. That pretty much sums it up.
Conclusion
Anyone can easily become an influencer in 2021. As long as you put in the work and time and build up valuable connections, then you're certainly going to succeed.
Just trust in the process.
Oh, and to round up this post for the day, if you're an adult (usually a boomer 😶) and somehow you're reading this right now and you're wondering:
Why do teens want to be influencers?
Well, being an influencer has opened up a way for teenagers to make a living. In a country like Nigeria, who doesn't need some side money?
Exactly... And also, it's actually super fun to be an influencer. 🤭
Goodbye and have a great day 😗❤
