Informed: #EndSARS hashtag

It's more than a hashtag , it's a movement.

Start Date: October 8, 2020.

This wasn't political, up until recently when the youths finally began to realise parts of their full potentials. "And to those naive enough to think this is just about FSARS, no it is not. FSARS was just a trigger. This is about a system that favours the few and disenfranchises the many. The reason Nigeria picked on FSARS as a symbol to rise against is that FSARS is symbolic of Nigeria’s leadership. FSARS are dictatorial, like Buhari. They steal, like Buhari’s cabal."

The #EndSars hashtag, quickly developed into PEACEFUL protests all across the world and across different states in Nigeria... But yet, even though these protests have been nothing but peaceful, at least ten people have been killed, and the Nigerian police have dispersed crowds with teargas and water cannons... Paid touts have shown up at scheduled protest locations to attack protesters... Protesters are now being personally targeted and kidnapped by unknown people... all because the Nigerian people finally chose to exercise their rights.

The Government has dissolved the Special Anti Robbery Squad SARS and replaced it with an already existing defense unit, SWAT—Special Weapon And Tactics, #EndSWAT now trends on a daily basis too.
Protests are still ongoing.
